"...welcome to the dark side of nature...."

this ring is part of my collection called Decaying Beauty... inspired by the the decaying leaf of a lotus with a drop of dew.. i wanted to design a collection of jewelry that is feminine and contemporary without using flowers or butterflies.. hence i combined the imperfections of nature like the decay stages of nature and here's the result...

this is my first ring ever made by me using metal in my metalsmithing class...made using the wax carving technique then cast into sterling silver... then a swarovski crystal was added as the dew... the leaf is soldered a lil' loop side to give an unusual effect...

this collection includes a necklace, bracelet and something adventurous so stay tune....;)

entered *Tooi's contest..

if you have any thoughts about my work, pls leave a comment.... i appreciate it... :)

hahaha yeees that can be a problem. I once buffed my fingernail on that accidentally. I wouldn't do it again, but DAMN it looked good all polished :XD:
I learnt to use one at school, but i can't use the uni ones till we take a test on them, and thats not till second year, it's soooo frustrating not to be able to use one when you know how but the beurocracy gets in the waaaay :cries:
